Our story

Player1 Sim Gear was created by sim enthusiasts, for sim enthusiasts. We set out to build one place where racers and flight simmers (not to mention sim farmers, space pilots, truckers and every other kind of sim fan) could shop the best hardware brands with honest, expert advice.

Player1 is owned by Neil, a Kiwi from Whanganui whose family all live in the Waikato. Over the past four years we have grown into one of Australia's leading simulation specialist retailers, and now we are bringing that same honest, expert approach to New Zealand with an expansion warehouse in Hamilton.

We are starting with local stock of VIRPIL Controls, as the official distributor for Australia and New Zealand, and will add more brands over time. Anything else we sell can be shipped to New Zealand from Australia on request. Read about our New Zealand plans.

Player1 Sim Gear is a specialist sim racing and flight simulation retailer, created by sim enthusiasts for sim enthusiasts. Over the past four years we have grown into one of Australia's leading simulation specialists, with the widest range of premium simulator gear in the country.

Where are you based?

Our New Zealand expansion warehouse is in Hamilton, in the Waikato. Our head office and main warehouse are at 18/14-18 Tooronga St, Kunda Park QLD 4556, on Queensland's Sunshine Coast.

Who owns Player1 Sim Gear?

Player1 Sim Gear is owned by Neil, a Kiwi from Whanganui whose family all live in the Waikato. That connection is a big part of why we chose Hamilton for our New Zealand expansion.

Which brands are you an authorised distributor for?

We are the authorised Australian and New Zealand distributor for VIRPIL Controls and NCRD, the official Australian distributor for Pimax, the authorised Australian distributor for Conspit, and an authorised Australian distributor for Vero Motion.

Which brands are you an authorised dealer for?

We are an authorised dealer for brands including Simagic, Trak Racer, MOZA Racing, Heusinkveld, Logitech, PXN and Sabelt.

Why buy from an authorised distributor or dealer?

You get genuine stock supplied through the brand's official channel, a valid manufacturer warranty, and local support from a team that knows the products. Grey-import gear can leave you without local warranty support.

How does warranty work?

Warranty claims are handled locally by our team in Queensland. Contact us with your order number and a description of the issue and we will troubleshoot with you first. If an item is confirmed faulty we will arrange a repair or a like-for-like replacement, working with the manufacturer where needed.

Do you ship within New Zealand?

Which brands do you stock in New Zealand?

We are starting with VIRPIL Controls, as the official distributor for VIRPIL in Australia and New Zealand. We will add more brands to our New Zealand stock over time. If there is a brand you would like us to hold locally, let us know.

Can I order products you do not stock in New Zealand yet?

Yes. Products from our wider Australian range can be shipped to New Zealand on request. Call +61 488 385 870 or send us a message with what you would like and where in New Zealand you are, and we will come back to you with the details.

What is your returns policy?

You have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return. Items must be unopened and in their original condition and packaging. Email support@p1simgear.com.au with your order number before sending anything back, and we will reply with the return details. A restocking fee may apply. See our full refund policy for details.

Can you help me choose the right gear?

Can you get a product you do not list?

Often, yes. If there is a piece of gear you want that we do not currently stock, let us know and we will do our best to source it for you.
